Position Overview
They're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development and maintenance of the backend systems that support their conversational AI platform. This role involves close collaboration with AI researchers, frontend developers, and product teams to build secure, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions tailored for the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices to support AI-driven workflows.
  • Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability across backend services.
  • Integrate securely with healthcare platforms ensuring compliance with standards like HIPAA and FHIR.
  • Work with AI teams to deploy and manage NLP models in production.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and database structures for both structured and unstructured healthcare data.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and system uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve backend issues to minimize service interruptions.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and promote a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance the platform.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of backend development experience with a focus on building secure, scalable systems.
  • Strong coding skills in Node.js.
  • Proficient in developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Skilled in database design and management using SQL and NoSQL technologies like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, including encryption and authentication.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
